01. Tadiandamol Peak

The highest peak in the Coorg region and the second highest in Karnataka. Trekking from Nalaknad Palace till Tadiandamol peak is a popular adventure activity in Kodagu. The Tadiandamol treeking trail is about 7 kms one way. Camping is not allowed on Tadiandamol, hence trekkers need to return before sunset. Trekkers will be treated to blissful views of Shola forest range and valleys.

Kumara Parvatha Trek is a highly recommended trekking adventure activity in Western Ghats. The trail is about 13 km long and takes somewhere between 8 to 10 hours to finish. 04. Barapole River

The white water rafting in Barapole River is one of the most popular things to do as part of Coorg. Locally known as the River Kithu Kakathu. This stretch of river has more than nine Class 2‑Class 4 rapids. The rapids have some fascinating names like Morning Coffee, Grass Hopper, Ramba Samba, Wicked Witch and Big Bang. 06. Brahmagiri Hill

Brahmagiri, is a mountain range in the Western Ghats of south India. It is situated on the border between Kodagu district. Thirunelli Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, lies on the Kerala side of Brahmagiri. This temple is known as Dakshina Kasi or the Kashi of the South.

There is a hanging bridge constructed just opposite the falls. Flow is much higher during the monsoon season.

08. Honnamana Kere Lake

The biggest natural lake in Coorg is located in the Daddamalthe village which is around 7 to 8 KM from Somwarpet village. Emanating stillness and serenity in the air, nestled amid coffee plantation, verdant hills, and man-made caves the lake looks emerald clear. A freshwater fall, with its striking streams of water flowing down the hills, allures not only nature lover but everyone. 09. Iruppu Falls

Falling from a height of 170 feet, Iruppu Falls is a sight worth remembering. A popular place to visit in Coorg, this waterfall catches everyone’s attention not only with its mesmerising beauty but with its thundering sound as well. The Falls are also known as the Lakshmana Tirtha Falls, derived from the name of the tributary of Cauvery which starts from these falls, the Lakshmana Tirtha River. There is a temple called Rameshwara Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is located on the banks of the Lakshmana Tirtha River, enroute to the falls. Also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park this park is named after the Nagarhole (Cobra) river passing through its rich tropical forest cover. This park was declared the 37th Tiger Reserve of India in 1999. You can find Tiger, Leopard, Asiatic wild dog and Sloth bear, Asiatic Elephant, Gaur, Sambar, Chital, Muntjac, Four horned antelope, Wild pig, Mouse deer and South-western langur. 11. Namdroling Monastery / Golden Temple

The Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery (or Thegchog Namdrol Shedrub Dargye Ling), is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. Located in Bylakuppe. the monastery is home to a sangha community of over five thousand lamas (both monks and nuns), a junior high school named Yeshe Wodsal Sherab Raldri Ling, a religious college (or shedra for both monks and nuns) and hospital.

It holds high religious importance as well and thus attracts hordes of religious tourists. Talakaveri is said to be the source of River Cauvery. There is a small spring called as a tirtha kundike or Brahma kundike. It is believed that the river originates from this spring. This spring apparently flow underground and emerges after a short distance. Near the kundike, there is a shrine. In front of the shrine, a huge tank has been built where pilgrims take bath and offer prayers.

This Kerala style temple is situated at the confluence of three holy rivers - Cauvery, Sujyothi, and Kannike. The confluence is famous as Triveni Sangama and is a very significant pilgrimage site. 17. Omkareshwara Temple

The temple is in the Indo-Saracenic style, combining typically Keralite tiled roofs with Islamic domes and is about 1km from the Madikeri bus stand. Its four corners are surrounded by four turrets. Another attractive architectural feature of the temple is the water tank in front, which is inhabited by various different varieties of fish.
